My dear Imuetinyan,It’s so hard to write this tribute and to believe that you’re really gone. The news of your sudden passing to glory came as a shock to my siblings and I.My earliest memory of you is our childhood days while growing up together at the Uwaifo family house on Lagos street, Benin City(‘Okemole’). You were older and you saw me as your younger sister. You always looked out for me. Even in adulthood, that did not change. You always have a special place in my heart too.
Imuetinyan, you were a very caring person who loved your immediate and extended families dearly. You constantly reached out every new month with prayers and well wishes for the new month. I usually would wake up to see that new month message but alas, there was none on July 1st….God knows why He called you home so soon but I will forever cherish the moments we spent together and spoke together on the phone. I really wish we had spent more time together and I had called more.
To say I’m going to miss you greatly is an understatement. It was very reassuring that you were ‘there’ for me anytime and I could always count on you. The reality now is heartbreaking and sobering. May the good Lord teach us to number our days so we can apply our hearts to wisdom, ……Adieu my dearest cousin, sister and friend.
Rest in Perfect peace till we meet again.
