Nothing can really prepare you for this. With a heavy heart that I write this message in your remembrance. Your kindness, warmth, and the joy you brought to everyone around you will never be forgotten. You weren’t just mum’s friend; you were family, an aunty who always had a smile and a kind word, one that I knew I could talk to any time I needed to.

Your laughter and light touched all who knew you, you are leaving behind beautiful memories that we will treasure forever.

We will miss you. Though you are no longer here with us, your legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire us all.

Rest in peace, dear Aunty, You will always hold a special place in our hearts.

With love and fond memories,

From Martina.I. OzeIgiehon

Aunty Joyce, you were always available whenever my sister, Mrs. Gladys Ketebu, needed you. You were like a mother to my niece, Dr. Uyiosa Eregie. You always had good things to say about people. We thank the Almighty for the beautiful life you lived. Angels will light up your path as you find your way back home. I wish the entire family comfort and strength to move on.

From Uyiosa Eregie

Aunty Joyce,
I still find it hard to believe that you are gone physically from our presence. However, I am consoled by the fact that we will meet again at the resurrection morning. You were like a mother to me.  We shared our joys and pains together and you left an indelible mark in my life. My family and I will miss you greatly. I am consoled by the fact that you lived a godly life. Adieu Aunty

Joyce Imuetinyan, my sister and best friend. We first met in the late 1970s while preparing for our final secondary education exams. Joyce had come to live in Oguanogbe with her mum- sis Regina and grandma. Joyce was incredibly pretty, very friendly, with a big smile, and so down-to-earth. It was love at first sight, and from that moment, we became inseparable. Joyce brought so much joy to me and my family. Even after we both got married, we made time for each other as much as possible and remain sisters for life.

Now my beloved sister and friend, why did you have to go????. 😢😢😢. Even though you have transitioned to the great beyond, you continue to live on in our hearts. And I take solace in the beautiful and gorgeous children you brought into this world. May your guidance continue to be with them.

We shared so many experiences together. I remember the day Femi locked us in a room when he was angry “it wasn’t funny”…, not to say the least…????. There were more of such similar incidents and we just had to deal with things in life the best way we could and still remain happy.

Joyce, you were the grandma that my grandchildren knew. You were always there when I was not around. You were there for them when they needed a grandmother and my daughter needed a mother. You were always very dependable and reliable. When my daughter- UyiOsa, grandchildren and family needed a lesson teacher or someone to assist in the home, you were there to support and assist her. I am not sure how you managed it, but you always did; made others happy and feel fulfilled. You were a blessing to all who crossed your path in your life time.

Joyce, I miss you so much 😢. You left without saying goodbye, without a backward glance. I pray you awaken to joyful activities in the beyond. May your path be bright and luminous. May Luminous Helpers continue to guide you and give you all the help and guidance that will lead you straight home to your point of origin, Amen and Amen 🙏🏾

I will always love the memories we shared and think of you not with sadness but with joy because that is what you would have wanted. Your earthly name JOYCE was not by accident; you were truly your name: always joyful despite all the struggles and challenges you endured and experienced.

Now, I believe you continue to live on in a different part of creation where there is no more pain and suffering, no challenges or worldly difficulties.

Adieu my beloved sister and bestie 🥰
